Lester Kerber
Chair of the Lakeside College Board
Lester Kerber is currently Chair of the Lakeside College Board and semi-retired after more than 30 years in business management and finance within Lutheran education. His career includes leadership roles at Yirara College (Alice Springs), a developing P–12 Lutheran school in Bunbury (WA), Luther College (Croydon Hills, VIC), and as Director of Business Services at Lutheran Education VIC, NSW & TAS.
He currently provides part-time financial services to St Paul’s Lutheran Church, Box Hill, and serves in various governance roles: Trustee of the Lutheran Welfare Fund, Vice-Chair of St John’s Lutheran Primary School (Jindera, NSW), and President of The Dining Room Mission, a Melbourne-based charity. He has also served on the ASBA Victorian Executive and the Lutheran Super Board. His governance experience spans decades, both as a board member and in reporting roles across Lutheran education.
Lester holds a Bachelor of Business (Accounting) and has completed extensive leadership training throughout his career. A lifelong member of the Lutheran Church, he has been active in youth ministry across several states. He is married with three adult children and four grandchildren.
